Women: which brand of shoes do you rely on for comfort?

Shopping online, the likelihood that the shoe will be comfortable, for me means about three brands. Live in a small town with shopping involving an hour’s drive. So far, I haven’t been disappointed except when I tried a brand I wasn’t familiar with. What about you?

Wish I could really shoe shop … I avoid shoes … like house slippers best … but for real shoes, I rely on the ones my doctor sends molds of my feet to and these folks make may shoes to fit my foot … ugly, but really comfortable.

Usually I wear Adidas running shoes but if I’m in jeans or casual clothing I wear some slip-ons from Lands End. They are warm, toasty and feel like bedroom slippers. They kept my feet dry and warm while I was in Germany. Good stuff!

I rely on three different brands of shoes for foot comfort. I never buy my shoes online, for fear they won’t fit right, ever since I had a badly botched foot surgery in 2002. I had corrective surgery (different doctor) in 2004, but my foot will never be the same.

I love aerosoles, birkenstock, and naturalizers. They are all most comfortable and have come out with some really cute styles.

My feet are wide and chubby and arthritic. Round-toed clutzy looking shoes are the most comfortable for me, like crocs. I know they look ridiculous, but they feel so good and the ones with a lining are even better.

Soft Spots worked best for me – when I wore shoes.

I wear my “Old Friend’s” slippers every day with the shearling (Sheep skin) and I also order shearling slippers from Australia – made in Australia.

Being diabetic – I can’t wear anything else – big time foot problems.

Even though I’m a woman and I wear a size 11, there aren’t too many comfortable shoes at department stores, or there are lots of uncomfortable high-heeled shoes. I started wearing men’s shoes: Rockport shoes are good! When is someone going to come up with some good women’s shoes 11 and up?

No special brand. If the shoe looks good and is comfortable I will wear it. I never order clothes or shoes on line. Poppy

For the most part it’s like not wearing shoes… and I like that.
I never like going barefoot though.

I wear size 11, and I had a hard time finding comfortable shoes until I tried Easy Spirit shoes. They make a world of difference. I was on my feet (teaching) most of the day, and I was really impressed with the comfort level of Easy Spirits. Also, they have really cute styles, from clogs to heels to boots, even slippers. I know size 11 medium fits me perfectly, so I order online. Every now and then, they will send me a $20 off coupon, and they have great sales. Some of my friends started wearing them on my recommendation, and they say they are well pleased too.

I bought a pair of Birkenstocks online which I enjoy wearing. But, for other shoes, I usually buy Easy Spirit. They have nice looking, comfortable walking shoes and dress shoes which don’t hurt my bad foot.
