So you have finally jumped on the bandwagon and bought yourself one of those digital cameras that you have seen people using everywhere you go.  Now the question is: what do you do next?  Depending on the kind you buy, digital cameras can seem rather daunting at first, with all of their extra buttons and attachments.  The truth is, however, that it only takes a little time to learn how to use this type of camera, and once you get the hang of it, you will wonder how you ever got along without it. The first thing that you need to know about digital cameras is that they take pictures just like non-digital cameras, but then they go way beyond that.  You still point the camera at your subject and shoot, but with digital cameras you can often see how the picture will look before you take it.  Many of these cameras have viewing screens that show you the images as they will look when they are captured.  With the ones that have viewing screens, you can also view the pictures you have taken right on the camera, and delete any of the ones that you don’t want to keep.

Digital cameras do tend to have a few more buttons and attachments, but part of the fun of having a digital camera is learning how to use it.  The first and most important thing that you want to do is read your camera’s manual from front to back.  The manual will show you the basics about your camera, as well as explain to you all the different features that you can use, and how to use your digital camera with your computer.
