How come men say women don’t cook?

And how come there is a stereotype only men get to marry chefs?

“My husband is the best cook! He’s a pastry chef with over 15 years experience, and he’s worked as a sous chef before as well. All in all, I am guaranteed fabulous food all the time! As for me, I don’t even know how to cook.”

“”im married to a chef and youre right. it is usually women who find these type of men.”

“My brother is an amateur gourmet cook who married a woman who burns toast and a girlfriend of mine lived exclusively on tomato and mayonnaise sandwiches before I moved in. Anecdotal evidence suggests that your observation is correct.”

“My husband is a pastry chef, he’s been trained in all aspects of the kitchen and he is awesome. I make toast and cereal, that’s about it. I think men are definitely cooking more today and what’s nice is, most of them are actually quite good at it!”

“American women will marry metrosexual men who cook everything and defer to her. This is good news for the gay community as more of their children will probably be open to homosexuality.”

We hear comments like that all the time.

Do men ever get to marry women who are amazing at cooking. Those who can make BBQ brisket, cocktail, any type of meat, sandwiches/paninis, steaks, fish/chicken dishes and desserts such as creme brulee/tiramisu/cheesecake/chocolate mousse. The type of person who makes fresh jams, cream cheeses and breads.

BUT if you look at food blogs about 90% of the posters and responders on food blogs they are women. About 90% of the homecooked meals on photo websites such as flickr are women.
And women have always dominated the pastry chef industry and are making gains in the regular cooking industry and some of the best BBQ ers on food network are women. MOST of the recipes posted on here are posted by women.

Here is an example of some beautiful food women have cooked

Without being sexist nor generalizing: that is for the feminist trolls that will report or respond for an easy two points.

Men are better cooks, women tend to cook very basic foods via the microwave while men may cook less often, they will place more effort into it.

My current and previous two before that have done…they just love cooking and one was trained as a cordon blue chef

(i haven’t had three wives, these were gfs or partners or whatever you call them these days)

The conclusion of this statement is out of control. Because more men cook, more people will accept homosexuality? I am not sure how cooking and being open to homosexuality is related at all. Is cooking a female trait? Are single men acting gay by cooking? Absurd statement.

I thought men were more likely to use the microwave for their meals.

    Example: Hungry Man TV Dinners.

You’ve never meet my sisters and my cousins. They couldn’t cook to save their lives.

As far as those answers…a good female cook isnt something to really brag about they are all over the place.
A man willing, able and good in the kitchen…is a treasure simple as that. (willing being the key word there) So when women catch one…they brag about it I know I do.

I’m easily just as good of a cook as the my husband, expect I cook more of the daily southern traditional meals. He likes to go all out, asian india ect…its about if he has cooked it twice, he’s done bored of that on to a new thing.

My husband’s second wife is a great amateur cook, who monitors his diet carefully in order to keep his diabetes under control.

Greater love hath no man for a woman.

I am an excellent cook, and my husband will be the first to admit it.

According to renowned 20th century American chef James Beard:

“People always ask me who makes the best cooks, men or women. It’s an impossible question. If I said men, I would be accused of a sexist bias. Yet if I said women, I would be faced with the argument that none of the great chefs in history have been female. Well, there’s a reason for that, but it’s not a matter of gastronomic skill.

In the days when there were legendary chefs like Careme, apprentices were sent into their kitchens to learn their profession from the very bottom. These were boys of eight or nine. They started by scrubbing vegetables, carrying garbage, cleaning pots and pans. They also had to lift heavy utensils and heavy boxes of food. As they learned to become deft with their hands, they developed muscle. This was not a job for a girl. It was beyond her physically, and it was hardly the proper moral environment for a young lady in the last century. Therefore, the tradition of the hero chefs grew up in the male image.”

My husband married a great cook and I don’t mind bragging about it because it’s a skill that’s taken several years to cultivate.
I sometimes like to cook in the nude with a string of pearls around my neck. I find it makes an extra warm and inviting atmosphere ; D

“American women will marry metrosexual men who cook everything and defer to her. This is good news for the gay community as more of their children will probably be open to homosexuality.”

I am trying to figure that statement out though. So if a men cooks, which is a basic necessity of life, he is allowing his children to become more open to homosexuality?
Of all the absurd statements I’ve seen made here, that one wins to prize.
    Male cook=homosexuality
    bizarre…..
