Which picnic location would you choose?

Posted: June 11th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Around the Castle | Tags: , , , | 25 Comments »

A picnic at the park, with lush trees, grass and flowers, or picnic at the beach, with the beauty of the ocean, water, and the sand.

The menu would be the same…. assorted cheese, assorted grapes, Fuji apples, Japanese pears, white peaches, and assorted gourmet crackers… and some wine, and for dessert, my homemade mango cheesecake. Both on a big comfy blanket…
Yes, the beach picnic would be in the evening so we can catch the sunset a location with privacy.
The park picnic would be also in the evening in a private secluded location.
Add strawberries and my fruit dip.

as much as I love the ocean.. I’d say in the park.. 1)closer, 2)no sand in the confections, 3)seaward winds are brutal / cold when it gets that time a day

I am pretty laid back about everything, except sand in my food. I love the beach and not a single day in the last 5 months have I not dipped at least my toes in the ocean (I love Hawaii btw), so I would have to say a park on the beach. Close enough to hear the waves crash, and smell the salt spray, and see the rocks beneath the waters surface, but in a grass part so the crunch of the pears means they are fresh, not too close to the edge of the blanket.

hehe for me i would choose a place high in the mountains away from everything. sort of like the beautiful scene from the movie, “sound of music” when its first coming on and julie andrews starts singing the theme song. that would be perfect for me. :) can you imagine the brilliant sunset one would experience in a place like that? AWESOME. my b/f ADORES sunsets too so he would love picnicing at a place like that. our menu would consist of assorted cheese and crackers with different kinds of sausages, meats, japanese pears also, strawbwerries with melted chocolate, champagne all on this huge fluffy, soft blanket. :)

    A park picnic sounds better.
Beach if a windy day will blow sand all over the food.

Well it is in the Philippines, Boracay Island or in the Palawan’s El Nido…. The true beauty of nature at its finest… Visit that places and I swear you’ll never regret your picnic.

I would choose the park….Romantic and Beautiful.

  21. 21 HelpingHand said at 5:30 pm on June 11th, 2011:

Have to choose the park just because of the sand getting blown in the food. Afterwards a walk on the beach sounds great.

  22. 22 makeloans2 said at 6:05 pm on June 11th, 2011:

I would pick the park because no matter what you do at the beach, anytime there is food and sand involved, the sand will get onto the food. That’s the only reason I vote for the park.
