It’s Only October, But Christmas Is Edging Closer and Closer

This might be a really unpopular post because I’m bringing it up so early, but the reality is that Xmas is not all that far away. Before you know where you are, there will be just a couple of weeks left until Christmas and the panic would have set in. People will slowly start to break out in a cold sweat and worry about what they should be buying for everybody.

Last year I had plenty of time to do my Christmas shopping and it was lovely. I did not have that last minute rush to the shopping centre and I could take a leisurely walk around the town with no hassle and no crowds. Unfortunately this year I am working full time, so I need to be totally organised.

The very worst part about Christmas is trying to find out what the family actually want me to buy them. I really do not mind spending money if I know what to buy, it does annoy me though when you trudge round the shops, wondering what they would like and coming home with nothing.

This year I would love to try and do a bit for the environment so have decided to look into Eco Christmas gifts. I love to be able to help others and the planet whilst doing some shopping, and isn’t Christmas the best time to do this?

There is such a vast choice of gifts available, and whilst looking I have also managed to source my tableware so if nothing else I know my Christmas dining table will be looking fabulous this year!.

My husband is never sure what he should be buying me, so I have dropped a few hints about ethical vases. That way he really does not have any valid excuses not to buy me flowers throughout the year. It doesn’t hurt to give them a little nudge in the right direction occasionally.

Well I digress, I must return to my shopping lists and see what Great Aunt Gladys wants this year – it will no doubt be the same as every other year – pink fluffy slippers!
